Course Objectives: This one day course covers the essential skills required to enable the user to create and edit existing documentation. Learn how to produce multi-page documents using both landscape and portrait pages, and create autotext and autocorrect entries to speed up the typing of key phrases. Enhance the look of text with character and paragraph formatting. Insert and edit tables. Save, print and open files.
Course Content Getting Started: Open, close and save files. Learn how to quickly navigate around a file. Create new files. Use the print preview and print documents.
Editing Tools: Run the Spelling Checker. Use the Autocorrect tool to automatically correct typographical errors. Find and Change text. Cut, Copy and Paste information. Set Autotext entries for speed typing.
Formatting Techniques: Apply character formatting of bold, italic and underline. Change the font colour, family and size. Adjust paragraph formatting of text alignment, spacing, tabulation and indenting text. Use the Format painter to copy the character and paragraph formatting and paste elsewhere in the document.
Working with Tables: Insert and edit tables. Add and remove columns and rows. Resize columns and apply borders and shading to the table.
Page Settings: Adjust margin settings. Insert and remove page breaks. Mix page orientation between portrait and landscape.
